  • / The Environment – Labour’s Green/Blue Policy

October 23, 2019

NextGen SKN’s vision for the federation includes greener buildings, cleaner vehicles, the increased utilization of solar and the exploration and use of geothermal, wind and biomass resources. We intend to introduce incentives to encourage the purchase of energy efficient products. We will facilitate and install solar panels on all affordable homes constructed by the National Housing Corporation. This is not only a benefit to the environment but will provide great financial relief to our low-income homeowners. Labour cares about our environment and that is why we intend to create an Environmental Monitoring Unit to increase the control of pollution within our Federation. Legislation will be introduced to ban the import of single use plastics and Styrofoam. We must exert effort to secure a healthier environment for future generations.
