June 21, 2019

The safety and security of our citizens is of paramount importance to us; it is one of our most pressing concerns. Labour understands that high level crime and violence are threat to health and development. We believe that crime fighting demands the involvement of all stakeholders across the federation to effectively combat criminal activities in our country. NextGen SKN will restructure the police force and incentivize our police officers. We will employ more focused deterrence policing which will target specific issues affecting the community. This strategy would require strong community and law enforcement comradery. The idea is to rebuild the community’s trust in our police officers. We will also ensure that the crime statistics are published quarterly for public scrutiny and ensure the use of drones is properly regulated to safeguard and enhance security of residents.
