June 21, 2019

Labour is fully aware that the quality of some health services and worker morale have declined under the present administration and it is our endeavor to restore and provide a high-quality health care service to the federation. We are proud of our track record of spearheading health progress through holistic and comprehensive policies and services and under NextGen SKN you will experience a complete overhaul of the Joseph Nathaniel France General Hospital. Labour will strengthen the health coverage for our citizens to ensure universal access to high quality services while protecting individuals and families from the financial hardship that can be caused by the exorbitant prices of care for major medical conditions. Our focus will also be on improving areas not limited to General Nursing, Specialist Nurses, Emergency Medical Response, Mental Health and Diagnostic Services. We will enhance the services provided at our Health Centers to include the availability of lab tests, medications, physical therapies and DMO Services. Changes will not only occur within our medical centers, but also within the overall cleanliness of our communities. Labour will be reassigning responsibility for roadside drain cleaning to the Solid Waste Management Corporation and resource Public Works to improve and expand its maintenance of ghauts and storm drains. It will be a complete revamping of our healthcare system under Labour’s NextGen SKN Administration. A healthy nation is a wealthy nation.
