June 21, 2019

The St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party is prepared to be held accountable for our actions and decisions. To this end we have adopted the historic Cod of Ethical Conduct by all executive members on December 8, 2018. “The good we can do” is Labour’s defining and driving motto. “Good governance” begins with the election of “good people” as constituency representatives and the selection of “good people” as appointed Ministers. Labour’s stewardship will be directed to the needs and interest of all and not just the favoured few. Labour is ready to replace elitism with inclusiveness and benefits for all. We will establish a Commission to review the constitution of St. Kitts & Nevis, including, but not limited to electoral operations, fair electoral boundaries, local governments and campaign financing. We will strengthen the suite of legislation that make up or integrity system with assistance from reputable independent bodies such as the Commonwealth Secretariat. Labour representatives and Ministers vow to always be true to the Oath of Office as well as to our Party’s Covenant of Hope. Our purpose is to serve the people and communities; not to serve ourselves.
