June 21, 2019

Listening to young people about the issues that matter is an important commitment of the St. Kitts & Nevis Labour Party. Our young people make up a significant part of our population and as such, educated, healthy, inspired and robust youth are critical to supporting the economic and social future of our country. We are dedicated to supporting our young people by providing creative job opportunities that align with the changing of times.  Our plan is to equip our young people with the necessary tools and skills needed to propel our economy forward and this starts with better educational prospects and training. The new Labour Administration will improve and sustain the St. Kitts Nevis National Youth Service Programme that helps youth to access short-term and long-term services and volunteer activities that would provide them with valuable work and life experience and provide communities with the help required for essential projects. The People’s Empowerment Programme (PEP) will also be revitalized to provide the assistance and training necessary for a more successful transition into the workplace.
